Admission Requirements at TWU

Undergraduate Programs: 

1. Academic Credentials: Applicants must provide official transcripts or academic records from their secondary school or post-secondary institution, depending on their level of education. Transcripts should be in English or accompanied by an official English translation and sent to TWU for evaluation.
2. English Language Proficiency: International students whose first language is not English must demonstrate proficiency in the English language. TWU accepts various English language proficiency tests, such as TOEFL (88), IELTS (6.5), Duolingo (110), or other recognized equivalents. Minimum score requirements may vary depending on the program. Students who do not meet the English language requirements can enter the Pathway/Trinity Language Centre (TLC) Program

Tuition, Fees, and Refund Policy

Tuition: 

1. Undergraduate Program Tuition: ($742 CAD tuition fee + $35 CAD activity fee)/credit
   • Estimated First Year Tuition cost is $20,979 CAD for undergraduate programs
2. Graduate Program Tuition: Varies between $535 CAD – $1,000 CAD per credit
   • Eg. the Tuition cost for MBA is $36,225 CAD, which breaks down to $805 CAD per credit for
     45 credits
3. Trinity Language Centre (TLC) Program Tuition: Offered for students who do not meet the direct entry English language requirements

   

   • For AES students, $6960 CAD includes tuition fees and
     university fee.
   • $7,932 CAD of PGS Level-1 tuition includes
     a language course and 2 BA Leadership credit courses.
   • $8,998 CAD of PGS Level 2 tuition includes a language course
     and 3 BA Leadership credit courses.
4. Bridge Courses Program Tuition: Offered for selected programs such as MBA for students who do not meet the direct entry GPA requirements

   

   • Requires undergraduate completion with a minimum GPA of 2.3
   • The students could also be admitted after successfully
     completing the Bridge courses. Bridge courses are provided
     by TWU Richmond Campus and consist of 5 undergraduate
     courses (15 credits). Students should achieve a minimum
     GPA 3.0 to enter MBA program.
5. Tuition Deposit: Non-US international students are obliged to submit a deposit of $9,990 to secure their enrollment at TWU. However, non-US international students who possess a valid Canadian study visa are required to pay a deposit of $4,552. The deposit will go towards your initial semester’s tuition.

Fees and Costs:

1. Application Fee: $150 CAD
2. Course Evaluation Fee: $140 CAD (Transcripts outside both North America and China are required to pay $140 CAD for a credential evaluation)
3. Student Fees: $1,200 CAD or $1,500 CAD for international students per year
4. Books and Supplies Fee: $1500 CAD
5. Housing (Standard dorm room) Cost: $4,400 CAD – typical cost per year
6. Meal Plan (Gold level – 14 meals per week) Cost: $5,154 CAD – typical cost per year

Refund Policy:

International students have the option to request a refund at Trinity Western University under specific conditions:

• If the student’s visa or study permit is declined, they can receive a complete refund by notifying Trinity Western University in writing before the end of the second week from the intended arrival date mentioned in the acceptance letter. They must also provide the official visa rejection letter from the Canadian Embassy or Consulate.
• If there is a need to defer the start date, students can carry forward their admissions deposit, tuition, and fee payments to a future semester for up to one year. However, they must inform Trinity Western University before the official start date of the semester they were initially admitted to.
• In the presence of exceptional circumstances, partial refunds of admissions deposits may be granted following an appeal and review by the Admissions Deposit Committee.
• The application fee is non-refundable.

6. Skidmore Hall: Skidmore Hall offers double occupancy in their latest room and board facility, designed in a suite style. Each suite consists of two adjoining rooms that share a bathroom and a mini-lounge area.
7. Jacobson Hall: Jacobson Hall provides a distinctive housing arrangement that allows upper-level undergraduates to live in a community setting while also having the convenience of a shared kitchen. The Jacobson pods consist of six students who share a single pod.

8. DeVries Centre: DeVries Centre provides students with the choice to have their own individual room while sharing a suite-style bathroom with just one other person.
